![]() ![]() Absolute Games gave the game a score of 75, stating that "A good single-player campaign is a rarity these days". It received a Metacritic score of 74 based on seven reviews. Men of War: Red Tide has received mixed reviews. The first mission of the campaign also has an intro informing the player of the historical situation. Each mission represents 1 or several battles and starts with an intro to the scene. ![]() There is also a large historical encyclopedia with information on the Black Sea Fleet and the battles for Odessa, Sevastopol, etc. Men Of War: Red Tide features one of the largest campaigns in the series with a total of 28 missions divided into 6 campaigns. Red Tide does not include a multiplayer mode however. The editor is only accessible through some work with the games files. Enter the small market building to find Lance (The man with the Dragonite). Most of the gameplay features from the first Men Of War were reused in Red Tide, with several small bug fixes and tweaks to make it more enjoyable. Talk to Mr.Pokemon and trade your red scale for an EXP Share. You can fight both of these guys before heading back to Mahogany Town. When you do, two Fisherman-type trainers, Andre and Raymond, will have shown up along the southern shore. You should do so, of course, but not before you leave the Lake of Rage area and immediately return. He'll then flee back to Mahogany Town in short order, beckoning you to follow behind him. You won't have much of a choice but to agree. Upon speaking with him, you'll learn that he's investigating something back in Mahogany Town, and even though he doesn't know you and has no idea of your capabilities, he invites you to help him. When you make it back to shore following the battle, you'll run into a mysterious man named Lance. Help out with his investigation to continue the story. Reach the land at the Lake of Rage and talk to the man with the Dragonite. Either way, once caught or slain, the Red Gyarados causing a scene at the Lake of Rage (and a lot of drama back in Mahogany Town) is officially considered nullified.Īfter you beat him or catch him you'll get a Red Scale. But you don't have to, especially if you already have a standard blue Gyarados already in your party. Now, you can actually catch this Pokemon (which we did), and as it's one of a kind, you may want to do just that. This Gyarados is level thirty, which is a considerably level that probably matches your current party level (we were level 30-32 ourselves). When you attempt to speak to or examine it, you will be thrust into a battle. With all four items in hand (and no doubt a dozen or more weakling Magikarps slain all the while), you can finally approach the Red Gyarados at the southern end of the lake. Head to the right top area to find a Choice Specs Now head to the middle of it to find a Red Gyrados that you can catch! The Lake itself is full of Magikarp and a few Gyrados. If it's big enough he'll give you an Ether. After you beat Team Rocket, catch a magikarp and show it to the guru. ![]()
